A question on vomiting

Hello, my name is Pepper, and I live with a lovely lady in Lancashire.
I do like to stay indoors most of the time, but occasionally I'll
wander outside and eat some grass.
I've learned that my pet human sometimes gets upset when I vomit
on the carpet or furniture, but I think that she was pleased when
she found me politely coughing up my furball into the litter box.
However, she did seem amused by the fact that I had both paws
on the side of the box.
Could anyone enlighten me as to why she asked if I wanted her
to hold my hair?
