Your Letters

Meho

I am really enjoying your page.

My name is Meho, and that is my human's e-mail address. I am an American cat so I am kept inside all the time and can't appreciate some of your topics I am afraid. I used to try to get out, but it is really cold and nasty out there. The human let me out on the porch once, in the middle of a snow storm, well she said, if you are so keen on going out, try this. Needless to say as my poor paws sank into cold wet snow I decided that perhaps on just this one thing she was correct.

I live with three old (and I mean old) ladies. I am only four. The old ladies are all from a shelter and when I first came here as a young thing they were very supportive and kind to me, but they just get older and older and I still want to play. The human tries, but she is not much use I fear. She is pretty good at some of the loving stuff, but cat love and human love are two different things except for the petting part.

She has gotten this Webtv thing, don't know if you have it over there. There are a lot less parts than a computer so a lot less danger. It just hooks up to the tv and the phone and she leaves the keyboard lying around, not the best housekeeper I am afraid although in this case it works to my advantage as I can get the keyboard whenever she is gone.

Well I hope you will continue tales of life in the wild. The best I get is the occasional bug, although once long ago there was a very foolish mouse who wandered into this house although not for long. That was my only experience with wildlife and it was quite exhilarating, even the old ladies were excited and did give me some good hints.

Keep up the good work,

Your friend and admirer

Meho
