For ColaLast year our "Big Face Cola" cat died suddenly. She was only four years old but had grown to a considerable weight of 22 pounds. One very sad night last November 1996, Cola past away while in the hospital. She was there only under observation for a bowel obstruction and her big ol' heart couldn't take it anymore. In the morning I was getting ready to go and pick her up when the doctor called with this terrible news. My son and I were devastated! I wrote a poem for her and she is buried in our back yard with a hand painted head stone rock I did. The poem helped a great deal and to have her still close in the flower garden was wonderful as she loved being out there. I would love to share this poem if I may, its quite simple but from the heart: Also, as a Christian I believe what the Bible says;" that whatsoever ye shall bind on earth will be bound in heaven." (Matthew 19:18)
Thank you for allowing me to share this. We have another older
cat (Sarah) plus after Christmas last year we got a beautiful
little Persian that looks like a little cow, (Winter). She has
helped fill the void but we will always remember Cola. So to all
those who think you are crazy for grieving over your pet....they
obviously lack "A Passionate Heart." And you can then realize
just how much of a "true friend" you did have in that little
animal. |
